Maurten has come up with their new gel. The brand is known for their collaboration with the world's top athletes who use Maurten products for their daily training. The new gel consists of two parts: 1. carbohydrates, glucose and fructose and salt. 2. Pectin and sodium alginate Together, these parts create a hydrogel that is created from a three-dimensional molecular network that can contain water and is therefore easy to consume during high-intensity training. This type of hydrogel helps you avoid stomach problems that can arise from the otherwise highly concentrated energy drinks. Each gel contains 25g of energy and should be consumed a few minutes before or during the race.
