YOUR NEXT COMPETITION RUNNING SHOES?

Nike has unveiled the Vaporfly 4, an update to its iconic competition running shoe. This version introduces a lighter, engineered mesh upper for improved breathability and support. The midsole features full-length ZoomX foam and an updated carbon fiber plate, providing a more stable and responsive running experience. The forefoot is widened for increased stability, and the outsole features a new pattern for better traction in a variety of conditions.

At the same time, the Vaporfly 4 has become 10% lighter than its predecessor, thanks to a reduced amount of foam in the midsole and a new, lighter upper that provides an even better fit and increased comfort.

Lower profile, higher speed

The Vaporfly 4 has a stack height of 35mm in the heel and 29mm in the forefoot, which is 4mm lower than the Vaporfly 3 and stays within the World Athletics 40mm limit. This saves weight and optimizes the balance between speed, comfort and support.

What's new?

Lighter ZoomX foam

Lightweight Nike ZoomX foam increases energy return and reduces impact for faster recovery.

Engineered mesh upper

The lightweight Engineered mesh upper provides comfort and a snug fit, while thinner heel and tongue further reduce weight.

Full Length Carbon Flyplate

Sandwiched between two layers of ZoomX foam, the Flyplate carbon plate ensures a more aggressive launch. The higher angle and 6mm offset provide increased propulsion.
